Hill’s injury came late in the first quarter against the Knights when he scrambled to the right after being flushed out of the pocket.
Although Maryland left Austin with a win Saturday evening, they lost both Tyrrell Pigrome and Jesse Aniebonam to injury, head coach DJ Durkin announced.
Backing up Pigrome is true freshman Kasim Hill, who beat out sophomore Max Bortenschlager and UNC transfer Caleb Henderson.
Returning sophomore Tyrell Pigrome and freshman Kasim Hill, both took snaps with the first-team offense during Saturday’s scrimmage and at Friday’s practice, which was open to the media.
