The University of Maryland landed three-star defensive tackle Jalen Alexander from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Va. Thursday when he committed to the Terps.

The 6-foot-4 288 pound defensive tackle is the No. 29 player in Virginia for the Class of 2018. Alexander chose the Terps over Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
Alexander joins DeMatha’s Austin Fontaine as Maryland’s commits for the defensive line coming into College Park next year.
