Kicker Paul Inzerillo announces commitment to Maryland

Paul Inzerillo, a Class of 2017 kicker, announced his commitment to the University of Maryland on his Twitter account Friday.

Inzerillo plays for Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, New York. According to his highlight tape, he hit a long of 52 yards during his senior season this past fall.


Maryland currently has three kickers on roster, including redshirt senior Adam Greene, who started for the Terps last season.

Along with Green, Inzerillo will be competing with senior Danny Sutton and sophomore Mike Shinsky.

According to his Twitter, Inzerillo was also being courted by University of Buffalo, tweeting that he had received an offer on Jan. 28, 2017.

According to scout.com, Inzerillo will not be on scholarship and will be a walk-on for this upcoming season.
