Eden Prairie (Minn.) three-star defensive end Jermaine Johnson committed to Independence Community College (Kan.) Thursday night, announcing his decision on Twitter.

Johnson is ranked No. 11 in the state and No. 3 among defensive ends, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
The 6-foot-4 defensive end garnered several offers from junior colleges over the past few months and has now decided to join the Pirates in Independence, Kansas.
The Left Bench spoke to Johnson in November 2016 about his recruitment and the people who drive him to play football.
