TLBTV: Sports and The Flag: Where We Stand

For the past two months, spectators of the NFL have had their eyes glued on the field before the games have even kicked off. It started with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem. The quiet, but powerful action has spurred more protests across the league and plenty of discussion.

A couple weeks ago, the Philip Merrill College of Journalism – UMD‘s Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism held a panel titled “Sports and The Flag: Where We Stand” to further that discussion. Alex Flum has the recap for TLBTV.
