True or False Quiz: Gronk’s Summer

After the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl on February 1, 2015, I hung up pictures of the team and ran around the halls of my dorm giving high fives to anyone who would take them. I wore the Super Bowl XLIX t-shirt that my mom sent me from Boston and sought out fellow Pats fans in a sea of mostly Baltimore and Washington faithfuls. As proud as I was (am) of the Pats, I eventually toned down my celebrations but kept them easily accessible just in case.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski took the celebration a little bit farther than I did. Since the Super Bowl, he has been making appearances all over the country, and has participated in some pretty wild activities. How up-to-Gronk have you remained? Take the Gronk Summer True or False test to find out.

  1. True or False: He appeared on multiple television shows including late-night TV, a morning show and a game show.

True. He appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and LIVE with Kelly & Michael, then participated in Celebrity Family Feud, confirming that he is definitely not camera shy.

  1. True or False: He voiced an opinion on the Tom Brady ban situation

True. Referring to Commissioner Roger Goodell by his first name only, Gronk called for the QB’s suspension to be completely cleared. Who knows, maybe Goodell was just waiting for Gronk’s nuanced opinion before making his decision?

  1. True or False: He and Shaq competed to see who could eat more barbecued ribs in a minute

False. But that would be interesting to watch. A Gronk win would mean a lot of ribs were eaten. A Gronk loss would most likely lead to the ribs being spiked to the ground.

  1. True or False: He attended book signings

True. Its Good to be Gronk is out now, and the man behind the title made a recent stop in California to promote the new work.

  1. True or False: He rode on a tandem bike with David Ortiz of the Red Sox as part of a Dunkin’ Donuts music video

True. The two teamed up to express their love for Dunkin’s drinks. Check out both of their music videos below.

  1. True or False: He untangled a baby seal that was caught in a cargo net while vacationing in Spain.

False. Although I wouldn’t necessarily put it out of the realm of possibility. Moral of the story: don’t pollute.

  1. True or False: He took a photo with Miss Maryland.

True. His bow tie actually matched her tiara pretty well.

  1. True or False: He went an entire day using a Razor scooter as his sole means of transportation.

False. Not sure they make one big enough for his feet. That would be like the size of a surfboard for the rest of us.

  1. True or False: He shaved his head in support of children battling cancer.

True. As part of The One Mission Buzz Off he cut away his locks and encouraged others to do the same. Here is the link to the organization’s website.

10. True or False: He reported to Patriots OTAs.

True. Thankfully for Pats fans, Gronk likes to not only play hard, but work hard, too.
